our lifetime, we were lost on the path of darkness, lost in this world of sin, but God found mercy on us. He allowed us to see that we are sinners and that God sent His son Jesus Christ to die for our sins and was raised from the dead that we may have life. If we confess with our mouth and believe with our hearts that Jesus Christ died for our sins and was raised from the dead, we will have eternal life. Jesus Christ came to earth to die for our sin (the whole world). No matter what we have done, if we ask Jesus to forgive us our sins, He will. All we need to do is to confess being a lost sinner and that we are willing to live our life as Jesus would want us to. We are all sinners and have fallen short of the Glory of God and we are all lost unless we let Jesus Christ come into our lives. Here is an example of one of the many times the Bible mentions we are all sinners. One day, when Jesus was preaching, the Scribes and Pharisees brought a woman who had been caught in adultery and they said to Jesus, "We caught this woman in adultery. Now the law of Moses says that she is to be stoned. What do you say?" Now, Jesus knew that they were trying to find a way to trick Him into saying that he was teaching against the law of God. So Jesus said to them, "He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her." After they heard that, their consciences convicted them and they left. That's because we all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. No one is without sin, and the only way to go to Heaven is through accepting Jesus Christ. There is no other way, no other religious beliefs, no other gods. So no man can know God the Father except you know Jesus the Son. Without Jesus Christ, we are all lost. Satan has deceived the whole world with false religious beliefs and every kind of scheme imaginable... from drugs to music, to the occult. Satan is condemned already and he's trying to bring as many people with him as he can. This life on Earth is but a short time. Eternity is forever. There are only two choices, eternal life or eternal torment. God gave us the freedom to choose and that is why Jesus will be just and righteous when he comes to judge us. Why Are We Doing This?
2. It will encourage the Holy Spirit (through us) to do God's will. 3. It will help us to be more submissive to our duty as Christians. 4. It will make our Christian walk easier, by being in tune with the Holy Spirit. 5. As stated in Matthew 5:15, Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father which is in Heaven. By doing this, others might come to know Jesus and live a life praising God and doing His will. 6. It's our duty to build each other up and to be fruitful. As Jesus stated in John 15, Jesus is the vine, God is the husbandman, we are the branches (15:5 - 15:2) Every branch in me that beareth not fruit, He taketh away and every branch that beareth fruit, He purgeth (to rid of sin or impurities as if by cleansing). 7. Matthew 10:38 - Jesus said, "He that taketh not his cross and followeth after me, is unworthy of me. We need to take Jesus' burdens as our own and do His will. ACCEPTING JESUS CHRIST AS YOUR SAVIOR We All Are Sinners The Bible says, "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:23) Sin's penalty is death and eternal separation from God in hell. "For the wages of sin is death..." (Romans 6:23a) Jesus Died For Sinners It was no accident, Jesus died for you. God loves you. "But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8) God's Free Gift To Sinners God offers salvation and forgiveness freely to all. "...the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." (Romans 6:23b) A gift must be received before it's yours. How Do We Receive God's Gift? God's gift of eternal life is easier to receive than most people think. The Bible tells us that it's not through any works or good deeds that we can do, but by faith in Jesus Christ and what He already did. "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works..." (Ephesians 2:8-9a) We're also told in the book of Romans that all we need to do is believe (have faith) and ask for this free gift and it will be ours. "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." (Romans 10:9,10 & 13) Will you stop right now and ask Jesus Christ to save you, so you can know you're going to heaven? Your eternity depends on it! "These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life." (I John 5:13) Prayer to Accept Jesus If you want to accept Jesus Christ into your soul and life, it will help you to pray this prayer. sorry for my sins and I repent of them and ask your help so that I will not continue in my sin. I ask you to help me grow in your truth and love each day for the rest of my life. I ask your Son Jesus to come into my heart and life this very moment. I know you answered my prayer because Jesus said, "Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If any man hear my voice I will come in to him." (Rev. 3:20) I thank you that you gave me power over the evil force, satan and all the problems and troubles he brings. I give you the praise and honor due only to you. I worship no one but you. I will tell others of you and your Son so they might also find abundant life and look to that day when we can all be with you. I will live for you until I die or until Jesus returns to take me to paradise. AMEN |
